Sion doux

Made from Chasselas, Fendant first appeared in Valais around 1850 and quickly became the most widespread wine in the canton. Harvested on January 18th 2003, it contains 127°Oe. The grapes have botrytis and are wrinkled and are a chocolate brown colour. Simply delicious.

Vine variety: Chasselas.
Colour: Golden with hints of green.
Fragrance: Pears, pineapple and banana.
Taste: Charming, unctuousness, very fruity, full-bodied after taste.
Alcohol: 12.5 % vol.
Ideal serving temperature: 8-10°C
Preservation: 10 to 15 years.
Fermentation: Traditional.
Name: Sion AOC Valais.
Culinary accompaniments: Aperitif, blue cheese, foie gras and desserts.
