Made from Chasselas, fendant first appeared in Valais around 1850 and rapidly became the canton's most famous white wine.

Vine variety : Chasselas.
Colour : Yellow-green with shiny highlights.
Fragrance : Lime blossom, meadow flowers, lychees, honey.
Taste : A fresh taste, with hints of hazelnut and a smooth after taste. A wine for aperitif or thirst.
Alcohol : 11.8 % vol.
Ideal serving temperature : 10-12°C
Preservation : 2 to 3 years.
Fermentation : Traditional.
Name : AOC Sion Valais.
Culinary accompaniments : Raclette, cheese fondue, cold meats, shellfish and grilled fish.
