Johannisberg

Originally from Austria and Transylvania, Johannisberg was introduced in Valais in the middle of the 19th Century.

Vine variety: Sylvaner.
Colour: Golden yellow.
Fragrance: It discloses grilled almond, hazelnut and camomile flavours.
Taste: A powerful wine marked with a velvety touch and has an elegant and smooth after taste balanced with a slight bitterness.
Alcohol: 12.5 % vol.
Ideal serving temperature: 12-14°C
Preservation: 5 to 20 years.
Fermentation: Traditional, on sediment.
Name: AOC Valais.
Culinary accompaniments: Asparagus, shellfish, sauerkraut, Asian dishes and soft cheeses.
