Humagne Blanc (White Humagne) White humagne is the oldest white vine variety to originate from Valais. It is mentioned in a sales agreement in Sion in 1313 under the name of Humagny. This vine variety is most famous for its high iron content, up to three times more than other wines. This fortifying wine is appreciated by the elderly and has become ‘the wine for new mothers', as it gives new strength to young mothers. It almost disappeared in the 20th Century due to phylloxera and to the growing expansion of the fendant and johannisberg cultures.

Taste: Elegant and subtle with hints of lime blossom and wisteria. Long and delicious after taste.
